The Twelve Irish Tenors in Branson Missouri is a production showcasing the spectacular harmonies and melodies of the Twelve Irish Tenors. The group performs opera and pop songs, as well as Irish folk songs and jazz numbers for a show that is unique, especially in the Branson area.
The show begins with a rendition of “Danny Boy,” highlighting the vocal prowess of the performers, and then they move to the songs of Barry Manilow, during which they sing “Can’t Smile without You” & “I Write the Songs.” “It’s Now or Never” was exceptionally good, as the group combined the classic version, known as “O Sole Mio,” with the popular Elvis Presley version for a wonderful vocal. “Torre Adore” & “You Raise Me Up” both showed the range and talents of the performers, and these talents continued to shine on performances of Irish Folk Songs like “Rosie O’Grady.” "Funiculì, Funiculà" was a dramatic yet fun performance by The Twelve Irish Tenors and segued nicely to “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” Returning to the their Irish roots, the boys in green perform “When Irish Eyes are Smiling” and another Irish number involving a little bit of an Irish jig for good measure.
The pure vocal talent of Branson’s Twelve Irish Tenors shines during “Unchained Melody” & “Bridge over Troubled Water” but the during their vocal of “Nessun Dorma,” a Pavarotti classic, I was undeniably impressed by the sheer strength yet control these men have over their voices. Before the end of the show, the boys upped the tempo with “In the Mood” by Glenn Miller Orchestra & “That’s Life” by Frank Sinatra. They closed the show with the Beatles hits “Twist & Shout” & “Hey Jude.”
This show is phenomenal both in the vocal abilities showcased and the charismatic charm the Twelve Irish Tenors of Branson possess. Branson visitors of all ages will love this show.
