Classic Country is the Star at Branson's Dalena Ditto Show

Reviewed by Ashley of ReserveDirect.comThe Dalena Ditto Show in Branson, Missouri is a classic country music revue showcasing country music hits by the likes of Tammy Wynette & Patsy Cline. The show kicks off with Dalena singing “Heartland” and “Candy Kisses,” before the band takes a turn singing songs like “(Don’t Take Her) She’s All I Got.” The show is filled with classic hits like “We’re Not the Jet Set,” “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” “Crazy,” and “Stand by Your Man.” Patty Davidson, a talented ventriloquist, took the stage next with her dummies and had the audience laughing along as she told jokes and sang songs. Dalena Ditto then sang one of her signature songs, “What Color Am I?” A few gospel ditties were featured next, including “Wait for the Light to Shine,” “A Closer Walk with Thee,” “Amazing Grace” and “I’ll Fly Away.”

After a short intermission, the Branson Dalena Ditto show starts up again with a dramatic rendition of “The Thunder Rolls,” before Dalena belts out hits like “Born to Lose,” Blue Bayou” and “(Grandpa)Tell Me ‘Bout the Good Old Days.” Bluegrass was showcased next, as the band and their fiddle player let loose on songs like “Orange Blossom Special.” More comedic relief is provided as Minnie Pearl (played by Dalena) interacts with the audience and Patty Davidson delivers another great ventriloquist act, this time finishing the routine with a cover of “I’ve Been Everywhere.” Dalena and her backup singer Stephanie delivered a great duet on “Does He Love You,” before the show ends with its big patriotic finale, featuring “America the Beautiful” and “Lets Wave the Flag.”
