A day at Sea Life Park in Oahu is filled with interactive and engaging things to do all centered on marine life. From aquatic encounters to entertaining shows, Sea Life Park provides an excellent way to explore the wonders of the ocean.
I began my day at Sea Life Park with the Kolohe Kai Sea Lion Show at 11:15am. I’m a big fan of sea lions so watching them dance and prance around stage and through the pool brought a big smile to my face. Plus, you can watch the trainers feed the sea lions if you arrive around 11:00am. After the show, I made my way
to an area of the park devoted to another of my favorite creatures – sea
turtles. These magnificent animals are quite remarkable, and at Sea Life Park they have developed an ongoing program dedicated to helping visitors understand the amazing animals.
Two of the best shows at Sea Life Park Oahu are the Dolphin Cove
Show and the series of shows held at the Hawaii Ocean Theatre. The Dolphin Cove Show highlights the beauty and talents of the park’s resident dolphins, all of which showcase their amazing moves as they flip, spin, jump and fly through the air. Dolphins love to hear you cheer, so be sure to applaud for an even greater show! At
the Hawaii Ocean Theater, trainers combine the talents of penguins, sea lions
and dolphins for a unique show spotlighting not only what these sea creatures
can do but also the conservation efforts in place to ensure these animals remain protected.
One of the reasons Sea Life Park Hawaii is so extraordinary is the
amazing animal encounters they offer. Guests can choose from interactive experiences that include stingrays, sharks, sea lions or dolphins. I decided to do the Dolphin Royal Swim, which featured two dolphins and included a dolphin kiss, dolphin swim, dolphin handshake and the special dolphin foot push. The experience truly was
incredible, and although pricey, it was well worth the money spent. Interacting with the dolphins really showed me how intelligent these creatures are and the up-close encounter was educational and exciting. The most exhilarating aspect
of the Dolphin Royal Swim was the dolphin foot push, during which two dolphins push
their noses up against the soles of your feet, propelling you gracefully into
the air.It was such a rush! Best of all, the crew at Sea Life Park Oahu
has photographers and videographers catching all of the action. These can be purchased after your experience and are a great keepsake.
Be sure to stay at the park for the evening show – Chief’s Luau at Sea Life Park. It is one of the funniest and most entertaining luaus on the island.
